Community Fitness Connection is seeking an individual who is committed and passionate about serving our community to join our volunteer Board of Directors as Security Director. We are currently accepting applications for a minimum one-year term (with option to extend) commencing immediately.
Community Fitness Connection is a non-profit society. We believe that our community can make meaningful connections through fitness. Our goal is to provide an affordable fitness center to help the residents of the Crowsnest Pass and visitors achieve their fitness goals and maintain a healthy lifestyle, while engaging with each other in a valuable community resource setting. We encourage applications from individuals who have experience in one or more of the following areas:
Qualifications:
- An adequate level of IT experience and access to a computer for software management purposes.
- Knowledge of decision-making rules, governance policies and the bylaws of the society.
- Human resource management skills.
Extra Duties Assigned:
- Assist Website and Membership & PR Director to monitor and reply to all member emails.
Security Director Role
- first and foremost, will act as administrator pertaining to all aspects of building access and security cameras systems.
- will make recommendations to the board, prior to budgeting, for equipment and software upgrades for both systems and will implement all upgrades.
- will assign a minimum of two other board members personal device access for camera and fob systems and assist with initial set up and training.
- will work in unison with the Membership and Website Directors on the coordination of membership files to door access software.
- will ensure timely customer service so that all members have quick access to fob and/or building access upon payment of user fees.
- works in unison with the Membership Director to form and/or review all policies relating to membership, including club rules and breach of club rules.
- will work in coordination with the Membership Director to enforce club rules in accordance with policies and procedures and impose the necessary penalties to members in violation of these rules.
- will be responsible for capturing video footage of any incidents that result in injury or a gross breach of club rules, and will ensure storage of relevant files for a minimum period of two years.
Term of Office:
One year term, renewable with no term limits.
Meetings
The Board of Directors meet six times a year. Meetings are held in person or via zoom.
Directors will also be expected to attend the annual AGM, committee meetings and additional meetings in exceptional circumstances.
Start date
Terms of the selected applicants will commence following the approval of the proposed slate of Directors
